Maybe the best time of year to visit Geiranger is from the end of April until the beginning of June: you can experience both the winter and the spring at the same time. Up in the mountain tops there are still lots of snow while the first warmth has made the scenery down by the fjord green and the waterfalls are growing bigger day by day. It is a quiet time of year. Not too many tourists, the fruit trees blossoms and the birds have returned from the south.
